Chellarkovil

Chellarkovil is a village located about 15 km from Kumily in Idukki District of Kerala India. Village is famous for its verdant greenery and waterfalls that flows to Tamil Nadu State of India. It is located at the outskirts of Periyar National Park which makes it a hotspot destination for tourists coming to National Park. Located at the height of 1200 meters above the sea level it is a great scenic place for vacations and for nature lovers.

The facilities include a number of huts, a lovely watch tower, path ways, a herbarium of medicinal plants, a tourist amenity centre and an ecoshop.The region’s equable climate, natural abundance of herbs and medicinal plants and the cool monsoon season are best suited for Ayurveda’s curative and restorative packages.More than 50 varieties of medicinal plants are grown here- in its natural surroundings.
