Aroor– Aroor is famous for fish exports located about 25 km from Cherthala town.

Poochackal– Poochackal is known for its beauty located about 16 km from Cherthala town. It is a small island surrounded by backwaters. There are various religious places in this small island. Famous Thaliyaparambu temple is also located here.

Krishnapuram Palace– Krishnapuram Palace is located about 70 km from Cherthala. It is famous for its mural paintings and its ancient architecture.It is a museum of paintings ,antique stone and wood sculptures. Krishnapuram Palace was the residence of the rulers of Kayamkulam kingdom.

Cherai Beach– It is located about 65 km from Cherthala and is very beautiful beach . The beach have coastline of 15 kms and is very neat and peaceful beach ideal for swimming. It is located in Cherai village of the Ernakulam district.
