Tabernacle Resort is situated at Kumily, it is tucked away in the forest of Thekkady, in Kerala and surrounded by high mountains and lakes. And shares the boundaries with Periyar wild life sanctuary.It is an idyllic retreat that gives full of opportunity to savour the pleasant evergreen rain forest. The forest straddles the state of Kerala on the southwestern tip of the Indian peninsula.

Tabernacle Resort has 11 cozy well furnished bed rooms and a large dinning room, which serve hygienic and authentic food.
Kerala style food and any type of cuisine are available. Kitchen facility to the guest on demand are also available.Tabrnacle has clean king size bed rooms & double bed rooms with attached bathrooms (English toilets). All rooms has full size mirror, and provided with cable TV, 24 hrs hot & cold water, 24 hrs power supply with generator back-up, car parking, telephone etc.Tourist Home has clean double rooms and family rooms with attached bath rooms (English Toilet). The family rooms are two attached rooms with a double bed in one and other have single bed. All rooms are Mosquito proof, with full size mirrors, and provided with cable TV & telephone, 24 hrs hot & cold water, 24 hrs power supply with generator backup, car parking etc.

Location

Situated in the heart of Kumily Town at Thekkady which is close to Periyar wild life sanctuary at 2700 ft above MSL. The climate is cool through out the year. It is situated 160 Km from Kochin airport, 110 Km from Kottayam railway station, and 140 Km from Madurai airport.

Trekking into the forest and seeing wild animals at close range is a feast to the eyes or just relax and experience the ambient beauty at its best. Take a ride on the boat, or canoe in the multiple lakes at the resort, and go fishing at your leisure.
