Kichadi is one of the Traditional Kerala Sadhya. This dish is commonly known as Pachadi Dish But towards south Kerala this is called Kichadi . It is made of fresh vegetables and Boil Vegetables. Kichadi is commonly eaten with rice and a lentil curry. It’s very easy for cooking and very tasty also
Ingredients
Cucumber | 250 gm |
Green chillies | 5 nos |
Grated coconut | 2 tbsp |
Cumin seeds | ¼ tsp |
Mustard seeds | ¼ tsp |
Curd | 1 cup |
Coconut oil | 1 tbsp |
Dry red chillies | 1 – 2nos |
Curry leaves | few |
How to Make
- Cook the cucumber in a Vessel with some water, chillies and salt.
- Grind the Mix together the grated coconut and cumin seeds.
- Add crushed mustard seeds to it and mix well.
- When the cucumber is completely cooked
- After add the ground coconut mixture into it and mix well.
- Season it with mustard seeds, red chillies and curry leaves.
- Place aside until it cools after that
- Add curd to this mixture and mix well.
Vellarikka Kichadi is ready to Serve with Rice or Chappathi
