Priyadarshini Museum

Priyadarshini Museum or Planetarium is one of the most significant and advanced planetarium in India.Priyadarshini Museum is situated in the scenic city of Trivandrum/Thiruvananthapuram, which is the capital of the state of Kerala. The museum is located inside the compounds of the Kerala State Science and Technology Museum.Priyadarshini Museum houses a variety of Indian as well as foreign space shuttles. Priyadarshini Museum is a planetarium with many advanced equipments and projectors. This fabulous planetarium complex has a centrally air conditioned Sky theater of planetarium, conference hall, workshops, sound – studio and other facilities.The planetarium compound houses a sky theater, where all the planetarium shows are conducted.

Visiting hours: At 10:30am- 12:00pm, 15:00pm- 17:00pm. Closed on Mondays

Many important and interesting shows are conducted here like `The Man and the Universe.The planetarium was set up as a tribute to scientific and technological advancements which has been achieved by the Indian space agency through the decades.This planetarium a great place of interest for science buffs scholars and scientists and for those who are interested in knowledge pertaining to heavenly bodies and the solar system.The walls of the planetarium are adorned with photographs from the lunar missions, missions to mars and a number of other such missions. The planetarium is sophistically furnished with state-of-the-art projectors and other equipments.
