Sri Chitra Art Gallery is one of the main tourist destinations in Thiruvananthapuram.Sree Chitra Art Gallery is located towards the North side of Napier Museum. The Museum was established in the year 1935 by Sri Chithira Tirunal , the Maharaja (King) of Travancore.Main attraction in this art gallery is Raja Ravi Varma’s paintings, Indian mural paintings of the ancient times, Svetlova and Nicholas Roerich, preserved art works of the Mughals, Rajastani and Rajputs. The Art Gallery features include a unique collection of traditional and contemporary Indian art. It is one of the finest art galleries in India which boasts the collaborated exhibits of both ancient and modern schools of Indian art.
